What data we process

When you fill in the intake form, we ask for: your name, email address, phone number and address, your situation and which elements you would like, your household situation, whether a site plan is available, any photos or video you upload, your preferred appointment time and your comments.

We use this data to assess your request, to contact you and — if it leads to an assignment — to carry out the design and construction. We do not use it for anything else and we do not sell it.

Cookies

On your first visit, this website asks whether we may collect statistics. If you say yes, we place cookies for visitor statistics (Google Analytics) and for measuring advertising (Meta Pixel). If you say no, or make no choice, we measure nothing and no tracking cookies are placed at all. The statistics show us how many people visit the site and which pages they read. If you do not want this, you can block or delete cookies in your browser.

What is shared with others

Only if you have given consent is data sent to Google (Analytics) and Meta (Facebook) for the statistics and advertising measurement mentioned above. Without consent, nothing is sent to third parties during your visit. The data concerns your IP address, the pages you visit and general browser information — not the content of your request. The fonts are hosted on our own server, so nothing is shared for those either. Links to Instagram and klimaatadaptatienederland.nl only send data once you click them yourself.

The website is hosted by IT Live on servers in the Netherlands. Email is handled by an external email provider. For our own business operations we use Google Workspace and Google Drive; data from your request may end up there.

Visitor statistics have been enabled since 4 September 2026; this policy was updated on the same day so that it matches what the site does.

How long we keep it

If your request does not lead to an assignment, we keep your data for 15 months and then delete it. If it does lead to an assignment, we keep the records for 7 years, as required by the Dutch Tax Administration.

Your rights

You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. To do so, send a message to janine@thegardenarianii.com; we will respond within one month, as required by law. If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
